How to Hit a “Dink” Shot in Pickleball

The most important part about dinking technique is to keep it simple. That means if you’re trying to hit it in the kitchen, there should be minimal back swings and minimal follow throughs. One thing you should never do is have the paddle leave your field of vision. You’re going to always keep your paddle in front of your eyes, never going behind your body.

Another very important part about dinking technique is that your shoulder should be the only thing moving. You should never dink with your wrist or elbow. Your wrist and elbow should remain firm.
